Steven Silverstein
Since 2003, he has driven the growth of both businesses into category leaders, expanding their footprint to over 600 permanent and 1,500 seasonal locations while building strong brand identities and customer engagement strategies.
Earlier in his career, Steven held senior leadership roles at Linens & Things, Bloomingdale’s, and Macy’s, gaining deep expertise in merchandising, operations, and strategic planning.
Steven earned a BA from Cornell University and an MBA from Wharton School
Steve leads philanthropic initiatives supporting pediatric healthcare and cancer research, including founding Spirit Halloween’s Spirit of Children and Spencer’s Boobies Make Me Smile nonprofit organizations. Since 2007, Spirit of Children has embraced the magic of Halloween to support Child Life departments in pediatric hospitals, raising over $145 million to bring joy and a sense of normalcy to young patients and their families. Since 2008, Boobies Make Me Smile has rallied associates and guests across 680 nationwide locations, raising over $14.3 million in support of the fight against young adult cancer. Steven also serves as a Trustee of the Jay Baker Retailing Center at Wharton.
